Well ... last week everyone at our house, except Parker was battling a case of the stomach flu. We are all glad to be through that. We had a fun and relaxing Labor day. The boys got up at the crack of dawn, but we spent the morning being lazy. Then we headed up to Layton with Seth so he could do some work and then ended at the movie, "Star Wars Clone Wars." It was nice to spend the day together. We don't get a lot of together time with Seth leaving for work everyday at 5:45 and arriving home around 7:30 on a good night and Laurel working all day on Saturdays when dad is home.
We have been reading the Book of Mormon reader every night with the boys. It has been fun to watch them (Parker mostly) grasp the gospel. He is like a little sponge that sucks everything he can up. In sunday school this week we had a lesson about developing our relationship with God, through scripture study and prayer. It was a great reminder of the importance of the basics. I know doing that with the boys has made a huge difference in our home. I have decided to make more of an effort in my personal life to do those things daily.
